E-Café Chiapas members attended Specialty Coffee Expo 2018 at the Washington State Convention Center in Seattle, April 19th-22nd.

It was our fourth time participating in Specialty Coffee Expo as an exhibitor.

A large number of global companies and coffee related businesses were present and promoted their brands, products, and beans.

This year, 423 companies and 13,628 people attended the Specialty Coffee Expo including exhibitors.

At the event, we met a lot of attendees interested in direct trade and specialty coffee sourcing.

As a producer and exporter, our strong point is that we are a trustworthy supplier with one-stop service from farm to export. As we are preparing for a direct trade with roasters in the world, the time at the trade show gave us an insight into direct trade of coffee.

It was also a time for us to strengthen our relationship with importers, roasters, as well as fellow producers in Mexico.

A lot of visitors to our booth were interested to find a specialty coffee company from Mexico. The view mostly stems from the fact that Mexican specialty coffees were stagnant, if not setback, from the quality standpoint.

After the Specialty Coffee Expo also a gentle reminder that the specialty coffee scene is still growing strong.
