What motivate us?
ICHTHUS school is looking for the quality and free education in Chiapas. It looks to raise the future cristian leaders of Mexico, working on three universal values; Honest, Service and Love. E-café is a proud sponsor of ICHTHUS, our goal is keep supporting until they reach their mission.
We offer an space where the children of our workers have the chance to learn basic skills as reading and writing, they are able to enjoy a happy and safe childhood while their parents work at the farm.
More than 9 years working with small groups of coffee producers. Our mission is improve their coffee quality, training and providing support to them. We are motivated to spread the world all their effort to the people will be able to appreciate and enjoy their work.
“Mezcal” microlot is the oldest group that we have worked with. In 2015, we met 8 men that raised with the coffee influence as a lifestyle. “El cerro de la Atarraya” is where their coffee plantation are located, in the highest of the mountains in Jaltenango, Chiapas.
Since we met them, we have collaborated to get better together each year.
The wonder of our collaboration is that we have had the chance of share some of our techniques to improve their coffee quality. They have received education about coffee, from plant care, wet milling to roast and coffee cupping sessions.
We have offered a system of work to make their harvest easier through payments in advance. In addition, we have created a saving found system for them, so they are able to have economical resources if there is any emergency, or if they have to take care of their health.
We have exported their coffee to the USA and Europe and every year we received such good comments from all the customers that choose coffee from “El Mezcal”.
“Navengante” microlot is another of the groups that collaborate with us, located around the area of Chicomuselo, in Chiapas, Mexico.
This group receive this name because of the peculiar way it is transported, the difficult access to the coffee plantations make them to move it on boats crossing “La Angostura” lake, then the entire lote is charged on a truck that move it to our warehouse so we will be able to process it and export it.

“Porvenir” microlot is located in the high of the mountains among the mystics “Lagos de Montebello” in Chiapas, Mexico.
The members of this group have been collaborating with us and since we started, we promised to spread the world the quality and value of the coffee they grow, also, all the efforts they do to produce it.
