We are firm believers in coffee that come from hard to reach places. There’s something about driving for five hours up winding, dirt roads half-submerged in floods while clinging to the sides of mountains to get to our farms that adds such charm and flavor to our coffee.
Recently, another farmer invited us to their coffee fields in an area we’ve never been before. Not surprisingly, our first visit ever to these cluster of small-scale farms near the town of Siltepec concluded with a small detour in Motozintla due to heavy rain, mud slides, and dangerous road conditions. We’re a few months away from being able to enjoy any samples from the region, but we hope you’re just as excited as we are for these beautiful organic SHG Altura beans from Siltepec (1440-1600m)!
