On October 19, we had a medical campaign in Finca Las Cascadas where we partnered with doctors and nurses from the General Hospital in Comitan to provide free medical attention to people who work at our farm in Motozintla, as well as the neighboring communities.

The nearest medical center to the farm is about 50 minutes away by car and it is just a small clinic. For specialized medical attention, farmers usually have to visit hospitals in bigger towns where medical analysis can be run, yet, many of them cannot afford the visit. That is why, we had been looking forward to a project like this for a long time.

For the campaign, Ichthus School donated $1538.46 USD in different medications, while four doctors, six nurses, and two psychologist from the General Hospital volunteer to participate in the campaign.

We invited workers from our farm and neighboring communities such as El Arenal and Progreso to receive a free medical check-up. Later, on October 19, E-café Chiapas, together with the Korean staff members from Ichthus School and volunteer doctors traveled 6 hours to Finca Las Cascadas; we arrived at 11am and began the campaign.
